This is our center support that runs down the table. It locks the slats in place and keeps them from twisting or tipping. The slats lock in easily but are rock solid once in.
You can see the center notched slat support running the length of the table.
The small pieces on either side of the center support are ½ square tube which raises the slats off the table floor.
So here is how it all comes together.
The slats have a nice arc and are supported and level across the entire table.
The center support keeps the slats from wanting to tip or wiggle.
Here it is all coming together.
My steel supplier only had 6 of the 9 sticks that I needed so I will have to wait until the rest comes in.
Yes that is some nice rust that is how they came. Luckily they did not charge me extra for the pretty colors.
You can see the ½ gap under the slats which will help with fluid flow to the drains.
